With a general election on the cards, and with only a few weeks to go until this year’s Labour Party conference in Brighton, now is the time for one more push to restore Clause 4!
We report from recent Labour4Clause4 event, including a packed fringe meeting at this year’s annual conference of the Bakers, Food, and Allied Workers Union in Southport last month. This included BFAWU President Ian Hodson speaking about the fight to restore Clause 4.
Delegates to the postal workers’ union have unanimously backed the call to bring back Clause 4. This is an important step forward for the campaign to restore Clause 4.
Delegates to the CWU policy conference this Sunday will be discussing an important motion calling for Labour to restore Clause 4 – the party’s commitment to public ownership. We urge all delegates to support this resolution.
